I decided with this comic not to directly pull the colors off of screencaps from the show as I have in the past. It’s just easier this way and I think Twilight is still recognizable as Twilight even if she’s drawn in a slightly different style and not quite exactly the same colors. I’m trying to learn to draw the ponies my own way. I don’t judge at all those people who try to emulate the show’s style, I definitely see the appeal and I very much like to look at art like that. It’s just not what I’d wanna do all the time.
I had a lot of fun doing this, I’ll probably do more comics for this blog in the future. :3
